Check any website's Domain Rating

Check DataForSEO’s 0–100 backlink score, backlink count and referring domains. This is not Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR), Moz DA or a Google score.

10 checks per day · Results are cached for 24 hours to keep the tool fast.

What this domain rating checker measures

Serpling displays DataForSEO's backlink Rank on a 0–100 scale. It is a third-party estimate based on DataForSEO's backlink index, not Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR), Moz Domain Authority (DA), or a Google score. Those products use different indexes and methods, so their numbers are not interchangeable.

Use the score alongside referring-domain and backlink counts to explore a domain's link profile. It does not measure content quality, organic traffic, keyword rankings or whether a website is safe.

Read the provider's Rank methodology and Backlinks Summary API documentation.

How to check and interpret a domain

  1. Enter a domain such as example.com and run the check.
  2. Read the score together with the counts. A score of 0 can coexist with backlinks; it does not mean no links exist.
  3. Compare domains using the same provider and similar check dates. Investigate the actual linking sites before drawing conclusions.
  4. Use Search Console for your own search clicks, impressions and positions. A backlink score cannot replace those measurements.

Results may be cached for up to 24 hours. A fresh request queries the provider's index; it does not trigger a complete new crawl of the web. Index coverage and crawl timing affect what appears.

Where the numbers come from

The lookup uses DataForSEO's live Backlinks Summary endpoint with subdomains included, internal backlinks excluded, live backlinks selected and the rank scale set to one hundred. Serpling rounds the returned score to a whole number for display.

Backlinks counts indexed incoming links; referring domains counts the domains that supply them. Referring root domains groups those domains at their root level. Crawled pages is the provider's crawled-page count, not Google's indexed-page count. None is an exhaustive inventory of the web.

A failed or unavailable lookup is shown separately from a valid zero score. If a value looks unexpected, check the domain and date before treating it as a trend.

Turn the check into a useful next step

Backlinks are only one part of a website's performance. If your next priority is useful content, follow our automated blog publishing walkthrough or learn what an AI SEO agent actually does. Neither publishing frequency nor using Serpling guarantees a particular authority score.

Domain checker questions

Is this an Ahrefs Domain Rating checker?

No. This tool displays DataForSEO's backlink Rank on a 0–100 scale, rounded to a whole number. It does not retrieve Ahrefs DR or Moz DA. Compare results from the same provider instead of treating different scores as equivalent.

Why can my score be 0 when backlinks are listed?

The score and link counts are different measurements. A low score can round to zero even when the index contains backlinks. Zero alone does not prove that there are no links, that the site is new, or that Google has penalized it.

Does this score tell me where I rank on Google?

No. It is a third-party backlink metric, not a Google ranking or traffic measurement. Use Google Search Console to examine the queries, positions, impressions and clicks for your own pages.

How fresh are the results?

Serpling caches results for up to 24 hours. A new provider lookup reads DataForSEO's index; it does not recrawl every linking page on demand. Links can take time to appear or disappear, and the tool cannot promise a discovery deadline.

What is a good domain score?

There is no universal threshold that proves a website is high quality. Compare relevant domains using the same provider and inspect the actual link profile. A high number is not a guarantee of useful content, safety, traffic or rankings.

Is the checker free?

The public checker allows 10 checks per day per IP address and may serve cached results. If the service is unavailable or the limit is reached, it shows a message rather than claiming a successful measurement.

Will Serpling automatically increase this score?

No specific increase is guaranteed. Serpling can research topics, generate articles and deliver them to a connected publishing destination. Whether other websites choose to link to those pages, and how a provider scores those links, is separate.
